Set up your shop's email sender
- Choose a dedicated subdomain, such as
shop.example.com, for shop email. Keep your existing corporate email configuration separate. - Identify who manages your DNS. Your implementation contact supplies the exact domain verification and email-authentication records for your environment.
- Have your DNS administrator add those records exactly as supplied. Check whether their DNS interface expects full names or adds the domain automatically.
- Let your implementation contact know when the records are available. They verify the domain and arrange a test email with you before enabling the sender.
Do not replace the SPF record used by your corporate email. Do not send passwords or service connection strings as part of DNS setup. If an existing record conflicts with an onboarding value, have your DNS administrator and implementation contact resolve it.
The setup is ready when domain verification succeeds and the agreed sender passes the email test. DNS changes can take time to become visible.
Prepare hosting and access for your shop
Your shop runs on infrastructure you own, operated by your implementation partner. This guide lists what you provide and what you can expect from us. It describes our preferred setup; deviations are possible and should be agreed with your implementation contact before work starts.
Agree the implementation handoff
Confirm the following with your implementation contact before launch. Record the customer-specific agreement rather than assuming every installation has the same scope.
